Sudley Area Residents' Association are delighted to announce Heritage Lottery Funding

It is with great pleasure that we have been able to launch this fabulous website as we chart our progress in creating a Documentary Film, book, community workshops, 1940's Tea Dance and exhibition about growing up in Liverpool during World War II.

SARA, Sudley Area Residents' Association and local filmmaker Liz Brown have joined forces to document the stories, memories and experiences of local residents' and make a comprehensive archive so that future generations can cherish their local heritage formany years to come.

We have been successful in applying for Heritage Lottery Funding to carry out this important project and we also hope to gain local support from businesses and organisations within our area as the project moves ahead.

Over the coming weeks we will be filming locally, gathering the many different stories, from our "Children of War" and we will be keeping you all up to date with the progress of the project from week to week.

If you have any stories that you would like to share with us of photographs from Liverpool during the time of "The Blitz", please feel free to share them with us.

We can't wait to get started and to share these local memories with you all!!
